May 3, 2012PRIEWE TO DEFEND HOME TURF AT BADGER MOD TOUR LID LIFTER AT BEAVER DAM RACEWAY MAY 26

(Green Bay, WI) May 3 – Beaver Dam’s Craig Priewe has been waiting for something like this for quite awhile.

The Custom Windows Plus Badger Mod Tour presented by Floors By Design & Directional Drilling Services will make it’s debut at Beaver Dam Raceway Saturday, May 26. Priewe knows the third-mile, clay oval like the back of his hand. The hometown ace was the modified champion in 2009 and 2010, as well as back in 2006. He raced sparingly last season.

“When I heard about this tour it’s pretty much what wanted me to come back to racing again,” said the 39-year-old Priewe. “I’m at the point in my life where we want to do some other things on the weekends, as this Tour fits into my life perfectly.”

Priewe has gone all out with brand new equipment, including a new Wild Inc. chassis. “Beaver Dam is a run-and-gun type of track,” said Priewe, the 1996 champion at the Dodge County Fairgrounds. “There’s no time to second guess yourself when you come off of turn two, because that wall comes up fast. The modified handling can change from week to week, and you can be left in the dust in a hurry if you don’t hit the setup just right. You’ll have to be on your “A” game with these shows.”

Years ago Priewe ran to the north in Seymour and Manitowoc, where he finished runner up in points at both tracks in the mid 90′s.”One of my crew guys Denny Baye is from Green Bay and we’ve got Jim Krahn from Krahn Performance on board helping us too,” said Priewe.”I’m looking forward to seeing some of those guys I used to race against years ago.

The series kicks off Saturday, May 26 at Beaver Dam Raceway at 6:30 p.m. To learn more about the series check badgermodtour.com or call 920 676 5990. You can also follow the Custom Windows Plus Badger Mod Tour presented by Floors By Design & Directional Drilling Services on Facebook.

March 21, 2012HIGH, WIDE & HANDSOME CUSTOM DIE-CASTS OFFICIAL DIECAST PROVIDER FOR BADGER MOD TOUR

(Discounts available for registered Badger Mod Tour members)

(Green Bay, WI) March 21 – Bert Lehman’s racing die-cast company, High, Wide & Handsome Custom Die-casts, is offering discounts to registered drivers for the Custom Windows Plus Badger Mod Tour presented by Floors By Design & Directional Drilling Services.

Named as the Tour’s official die-cast provider, Lehman is offering 15% discounts to registered series drivers who would like a die-cast modified constructed. Lehman is also waiving the $25 setup fee as well. The normal price for a die-cast car is $90.

For Waupaca’s Lehman the die-cast craze started as a hobby in 2002, and through word of mouth has become a part-time job. Some drivers purchase the custom die-cast cars to give to their sponsors. The custom die-cast cars are also popular with fans who want a replica of their favorite driver’s race car.

“A series like the Badger Modified Tour has been a long time coming to this side of Wisconsin,” said Lehman. “I want to support it and see it succeed. Sponsors and fans play a major role in this sport, and by giving discounts to the drivers who have committed to the series, hopefully it will give the drivers an opportunity to give back to their sponsors and fans.”

“Bert does great work, and I have purchased die-casts from him for my own personal collection,” said BMT series director Joe Verdegan. “It’s our plans to sell his die-casts at our series events in 2012.”

Lehman can also work with the drivers to get the photos he needs of their cars to make the custom die-casts or can work with the driver’s graphics company if they are willing.
